Laufenn Tires Review – Worth it or not
Laufenn is a well-known tire brand known for offering good performance and value at an affordable price. I have been their customer since 2021. Recently, I have been using Laufenn X-FIT A/T all-season tires for the Audi Q5 2021 version. Reviewing a whole brand instead of one product is always tricky, but I am doing it for you. After much research and my user experience, I will tell you all the truth.  Â
Background of Laufenn
Before diving into the review, we need to know about Laufenn. This name is unknown to you, but if I am asked, do you know Hankook? The answer would be yes; It’s a premium tire maker brand. You will be happy to know Laufenn is a new Hankook tire brand for the European market. It was announced on 15 September 2015 at Neu-Isenburg, Germany.
They aim to provide customers with quality products that suit various requirements and lifestyle preferences. They have already made their place in the European market with trust and value-for-money products.
Product Range
Laufenn offers a range of tires designed for various vehicles and driving conditions. Laufenn’s product lineup typically includes tires for passenger cars, SUVs, vans, light trucks, and commercial vehicles. They also offer different categories of tires, such as all-season, summer, winter, etc. If you want an ultra-high-performance form Laufenn, It is also available. The S FIT AS is an ultra high-performance series tire of Laufenn.
The key feature of the Laufenn is quality. They always try to provide a quality product to their customers. On the other hand, some excellent technologies are incorporated with Laufenn. They include R&D facilities and a highly skilled workforce for their brand. Another good thing about this brand is they bring their product to the market after track and rigorous performance testing.Â
Performance and Durability
Laufenn Tire’s performance on different road conditions is better than that of other competitors on the market. You already know that they provide different categories of tires. Their tires work well on the Wet, Dry, and Snow conditions. Note, If you want a tire for Ice conditions, you can avoid Laufenn. Laufenn ensures its best performance for different conditions by truck testing on varied road surfaces. I am delighted with my X-FIT A/T tires, as they work well in other situations.
Traction and Grip
Laufenn tires offer adequate traction and grip in normal driving conditions. You know Laufenn offers both budget-friendly and higher-end tires to their customers. Budget-friendly tires may not provide the same level of performance as higher-end tires in extreme weather conditions such as heavy rain or snow. And we don’t expect that. Compared to the other brands available, Laufenn gets an A+ Mark. Â
Mileage
The mileage you can expect depends on driving habits, road conditions, tire maintenance, and the specific model. Generally, Laufenn tires offer decent mileage for their price range of 45,000 – 65,000 miles. Regular tire rotations, proper inflation, and alignment can help maximize the lifespan of these tires.
Durability
Laufenn tires are designed to be durable and reliable, but they may need to match the longevity of premium tire brands. They are often constructed with quality materials and undergo testing to meet safety and durability standards. Laufenn tires should provide satisfactory durability over their lifespan with proper care and maintenance.
Comparison with Competitors
The best way to understand a tire brand is to compare it with its competitors. Let’s do a Comparative analysis with other tire brands in similar price ranges. We took three tries from KUMHO TIRES, LAUFENN, and SUMITOMO for comparison on a wet and dry track. All three tires are available in the same price range. We just looked at average cornering and stopping distance. Â
Here, a higher number is better for average cornering and Lower number is better for stopping distance. When we test stopping distance we run our car 50 mph. Here is the result for dry and wet condition:
Dry Track Results
Brand | Model | Average Cornering | Stopping Distance |
KUMHO TIRE | Crugen HT51 | 0.79 g-force | 90.40 feet |

User Experience
There is a mixed reaction to Laufenn tires. You know Laufenn is a new brand, so their customer is smaller. They are going slowly but effectively. My user experience of this tire is excellent, but I wonder why people do not talk about this tire on social media. I am visiting some e-commerce website that sells Laufenn tires, and I see Laufenn holds good customer feedback.
Pricing and Value for Money
Laufenn tires offer a wide price range, ensuring affordability for all budgets. They provide excellent value for money, balancing performance and durability at a reasonable cost. Laufenn also offers comprehensive warranty coverage and responsive customer support, enhancing the buying experience.
Recommendations and Conclusion
In conclusion, Laufenn tires are a solid choice for reliable performance at a reasonable price. They’re worth considering for your next purchase, with various options for different needs. In the end, the Choice is yours. Always research and seek professional advice to find the best fit for you.
